Gemma Garley photography: Privacy Notice May 2018. Version 1. 

This privacy policy is designed to cover all sites used by me (Gemma Garley) in relation to work undertaken by me relating (but not limited to) my photography. This information covers all platforms used by me – including but not limited to my website- gemmagarleyphotography@gmail.com, facebook- facebook.com/gemmagarleyphotography/ and my online client gallery- https://pixieset.com.

While using any of these websites certain information about you will become visible to me, both automatically and through voluntary actions you may take, during your visit. This policy applies to information collected while on any of these sites, through email, text, or other electronic messages between us.

1. What information is stored

Information that has been granted to me through you filling out and completing a session agreement form (all with consent) and through automated systems such as cookies is collected. Examples of this information are:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Contact details
  • Email address

2. Why I hold information

This information is held for fulfilment purposes. Your address may be used to send you information you will need before or after your photo shoot such as the session agreement. Your email will be used to arrange your photo shoot, and to send you the link to view your on line gallery after your session.

3. How I use information

This information is only used by me to contact you. Your information will never be passed on/sold/loaned/or traded.

4. How I hold information

Your information will not be transferred to other systems, and will only be held by me in written form, signed by you. 

If you share information with me via email, social media and other methods, please be aware that these systems aren’t 100% secure, however, by communicating with me using these methods, implied consent is given to use these less secure options for communication.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to be informed, access information and rectify any errors in information. Upon request I will provide the information in a commonly used format such as an email, PDF or word document.

6. The use of cookies

My website utilises ‘cookies’ (a commonly used technology), and may use other similar technologies that collects and logs information such as the time and date you have used a site, the pages viewed, the duration of your visit on the site, which site referred you to the site, which site you visit after, and your IP address.

Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you (to protect your privacy), not the cookies sent to you by other sites.

7. Third party use of cookies

I will not pass on/sell/loan/or trade any information obtained through cookies, however some third-parties such as advertises, servers, and networks, as well as applications and advertisements may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our website. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioural) advertising or other targeted content.

I do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

8. Policy changes

It is my policy to post any changes I make on this Privacy Policy page. If I make material changes to how I treat my users’ personal information, I will notify you by email to the email address specified in your account and/or through a notice on the Website home page. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the bottom of the page. You are responsible for ensuring I have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically visiting my Website and this privacy policy to check for any changes.
